Seth Rotherham (not “Rotherman” as he is mistakenly identified in the header of this Times article) is the Cape Town blog-king of 2OceansVibe blogsite and internet radio (in)fame.

He is also, now, officially, SA’s Best Dressed Man as chosen by GQ Magazine.

Way to go Seth! To quote Rod Stewart: “…..and you wear it well Madame Onassis got nothing on you”

Seth is a regular vinyl customer at Mabu Vinyl, so when he had to find a location for his photo shoot for the Times article, he decided to park his Vespa and pose outside Mabu’s window, which, fact fans and Times sub-editors, is not in Kloof Street, but just round the corner in Rheede Street, but that’s a small quibble when faced with such massive nationwide exposure.

We are honoured!

Here’s Rafi behind the Mabu Counter, on his usual weekday afternoon shift.

The recent zany aKing video for their track ‘Against All Odds’ was partially shot on location at Mabu Vinyl, check the video out here:

Inside, Mabu Vinyl looks and smells like an authentic second-hand store should. It’s stacked to the ceiling with used VHS tapes, random posters, loose CD’s, second hand books, and of course, vinyl records. It’s all about the vinyl. As it should be. It’s dark, it’s moody…it’s perfect.
